Give Back
We donate a portion from every sale of sunglasses to charities that are out there making the world a better place. We couldn’t pick just one to get behind, so instead we decided to show our love for two absolutely great ones.
Sightsavers
There are 39 million blind people in the world, but yet a staggering 80% of blindness could be prevented or cured with the right attention and care. That means there are over 31 million people out there who are blind when it could have been avoided. This is an unacceptably high number. Sightsavers is an international organization working in over 30 countries to eliminate avoidable blindness and to support those who have visual impairments. To date, they’ve performed 6.1 million sight-restoring cataract operations, treated 43 million people with trachoma antibiotics, and aided in 295 million protective treatments for river blindness. Save The Music
Music has always been something very near and dear to our hearts. The benefits of music education are astounding, and studies have consistently exposed the tremendously positive effect music education has on a child’s academic performance, sense of community, self-expression and self-esteem. But as schools across the country increasingly face budget cuts and pressures, music is often one of the first subject areas to be cut. The VH1 Save the Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring music programs in America’s public schools and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education. So far, they’ve provided $52 million in new musical instruments to nearly 2,000 public schools, directly affecting 2.6 million children.
