Wilshire Boulevard, one of the main east-west roads in Los Angeles, is nearly 16 miles long and connects most of LA’s major areas. It spans from downtown to Beverly Hills to Santa Monica, and is home to the famous Miracle Mile. Named after Henry Wilshire, an Ohio native, the road originated in the 1890’s when Henry decided to clear out a path in his barley field. Apparently that’s all it took back then. As a mecca for business, fashion, and exciting new ideas, Brightside is extremely proud to be based out of Los Angeles, and we think the wayfarer style is a lovely reflection of this great city. It also helps that there are nearly 300 days of sunshine here each year.
